Child Care and Preschool Consultation

Ensuring that young children are healthy, happy, and thriving begins by supporting the whole child and all those who care for him or her, including parents, caregivers, and early learning professionals. You might have questions about child development, behavior, health and safety, and the overall caregiving environment. It is important to know where to turn for help when you have these types of questions.

Free consultation services are currently made possible with the generous support and funding from the following sources –

  • The City of Bellevue Human Services Program and the cities of Bothell, Kirkland, and Redmond

  • Private donors/grantors

Child Care Health Consultation Systems Development Project

Child care health consultation (CCHC) is a strategy that promotes the health and development of children, and supports families and child care providers as they ensure healthy, safe, and supportive early learning environments. In 2018, Kindering received grant funding from King County Best Starts for Kids to gather partners and consider ways to develop a system that supports the work of child care health consultation.

The goal of the project is to develop an accessible system through which different people offering child care health consultation services are connected, supported, well-trained, and working together to address unmet needs and alleviate race- and place-based inequities.
